Youth Mentoring will work with minority males at different schools in the area to build resilience, develop pro-social skills and attitudes and minimize the influence of street gangs, bullying, negative peer pressure and drug/alcohol use.  The program has been designed to intervene before students reach high school to address the potential adolescents problem behaviors associated with poor school attendance, academic and social problems that result in disconnection from school and student drop-out.
