Nathalie Felix-Brown

Center Director

Hello, my name is Nathalie Felix-Brown.  I have worked in Early Childhood Education since 1998 and I have my Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Montgomery College.

“A child is not a vase to be filled, but a fire to be lit.”

I am originally from Jamaica.  I came to the states in my teens.  I am the oldest of three children and the only girl.  My brothers are 2 years and 16 years younger, so I am truly the big sister and enjoy every minute of it. I am also married and in my spare time I love spending time with my family, shopping, baking, reading, listening to music and going to the movies.

I have always thought it was my destiny to work with children.  I was very fortunate to come from a family of teachers, and the heartfelt desire to work with children was passed along to me by my great-grandmother and grand aunt.  What excites me about working with children is seeing them achieve their milestones, whether it’s walking, learning something new, or writing their name.  Knowing that I’ve had a critical part in helping children reach their successes is very rewarding to me.
