Betty Ann Krahnke Center (BAK)

Women and children fleeing and recovering from domestic violence, as well as sexual assault, and human trafficking, are provided a refuge. With the support of the Montgomery County Abused Persons Program, FSI operates the 60 bed Betty Ann Krahnke Center, an emergency, short-term residential shelter where women can heal and begin planning for a safer future for themselves and their children. Interventions include case management, professional group and individual counseling, advocacy, safety planning, and limited child care services—all from a trauma-informed orientation.

Safe Passage Center

The Safe Passage Center is a "family-friendly" and safe access site with the goal of enabling children to remain close to both parents regardless of the family situation or parental conflict. The Center is focused on the safety and well-being of all family members involved, and remains neutral in disputes.
