Betty Ann Krahnke Center (BAK)
Women and children fleeing and recovering from domestic violence, as well as sexual assault, and human trafficking, are provided a refuge. With the support of the Montgomery County Abused Persons Program, FSI operates the 60 bed Betty Ann Krahnke Center, an emergency, short-term residential shelter where women can heal and begin planning for a safer future for themselves and their children. Interventions include case management, professional group and individual counseling, advocacy, safety planning, and limited child care services—all from a trauma-informed orientation.
