Prevention Education for Preschoolers and Families
Substance Abuse Prevention Education provides a 10-week program to preschoolers and their families designed to improve parent and child interaction in the areas of self concept, self responsibility, communication and decision-making. The program utilizes the DARE to be You curriculum, which has been certified by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) as a National Model Program. The program is run in various elementary schools throughout Montgomery County.

This program is in partnership with the Head Start Program and is funded by the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, and Office of Substance Abuse Prevention Services.
