Capital Women’s Tea Celebrates the Strength of Successful Women throughout Maryland

Gaithersburg, MD -- Family Services, Inc. (FSI) hosted its 1st Annual Capital Women’s Tea at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center, University of Maryland in College Park, Maryland on April 27, 2014. The event honored many outstanding women from the State of Maryland, and included honored guests Maryland State Delegate Jolene Ivy, Montgomery County’s First Lady Catherine Leggett, Montgomery County Councilmember Nancy Navarro, Prince George’s County Councilmember Mary Lehman, and Mayor of Rockville Bridget Newton.

The tea provided an opportunity for women professionals to network, share their success stories and life experiences, while supporting the work of Family Services and the clients served by the nonprofit organization. The afternoon event honored the strength of women and focused on ways to turn life stressors into something positive and rewarding.
