Montgomery
Station is a Psychiatric Rehabilitation
Program. We work with adults with
serious mental illnesses in a variety
of settings to reach their full
potential in all aspects of their
lives. Montgomery Station’s
philosophy is based on the Mental
Health Recovery Model. The Recovery
Model emphasizes that people can
make progress and positive changes
in their lives, despite having mental
illness. It emphasizes hope and
the fact that, although people don’t
have full control over their symptoms,
they can have full control over
their lives. Montgomery Station
and the Recovery Model take a holistic
view that focuses on the person,
not just the symptoms. This is why
it is important to work closely
with the individual, his or her
family and friends, and his or her
doctors and therapists.
