VITA: FREE Income Tax Preparation - Scheduling Begins December 15th

Community Action Agency's free Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) partnership joins IRS certified professionals and volunteers to help the low-to-moderate income community maximize their tax refunds and credits, including EITC (Earned Income Tax Credit). Services are through Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services' Community Action Agency's VITA Partnership with the IRS, the City of Gaithersburg's BankOn Initiative, Family Services, Inc., the City of Rockville and the Maryland CASH Campaign.

If your family earns less than $50,000 per year - you can receive FREE tax help and get your 2011 federal and state refunds quickly through "e-filing". You can choose to open a "free" savings account and save with a US Savings Bond too! To schedule an appointment at the Family Services locations call 301-258-6395 ext. 6. Tax services for this location are available on Mondays from 2pm-4pm and 5pm-9pm. You must have an appointment. For other Montgomery County free tax sites, please click here.
