County Rehabilitation Service Director - PG or Montgomery County, MD


Duties and Responsibilities

1) Oversees the running of all rehab programs, RRP, PRP, SEP within the Prince George’s Co. or Montgomery Co. Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program.
2) Provides direct supervision to RRP Team Leaders/Program Directors, and PRP/SEP Team Leader/Program Directors.
3) Ensures the quality of all services, documentation and physical sites in the program, including training and credentialing of all program staff.
4) Ensures compliance with all regulations and standards of payers, regulatory agencies, and accrediting bodies.
5) Provides or arranges for training for staff in psychiatric rehabilitation and related areas.
6) Implements the organization’s strategic plan as it relates to psychiatric rehabilitation services.
7) Completes annual evaluations of direct supervisees and reviews those of the rest of the program.
8) Hires, disciplines and terminates program staff in consultation with Human Resources and Division Director.
9) Provides coverage as needed for Program Team Leaders and Directors in their absence.
10) Functions as a member of the team for each client in the program.
11) Leads intake committee for all RRP referrals.
12) Completed Emergency Petitions as needed for clients in any services in their county.
13) Participates in Individual Rehabilitation Planning and/or other provider meetings as needed in conjunction with rehabilitation staff.
14) Consults and collaborates with team members, external providers and patient/family on the development and implementation of appropriate care plan, MIPS, and other incident reports.
15) Serve as a member of the Family Services Emergency Preparedness Committee and as the Safety Officer of all residential sites. Provides oversight of the facilities (physical space) and ensures a clean, safe, and therapeutic environment.
16) Participates as part of Family Services’ leadership team.
17) Attends CSA and RRP workgroup meetings each quarter.
18) Works directly with the CSA on all RRP referrals.
19) Represent Family Services on external committees as required.
20) Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.


Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor, or Licensed Certified Social Worker-Clinical required. Master’s degree in rehabilitation counseling, psychiatric rehabilitation, occupational therapy or a related human services field, with extensive experience in community psychiatric programs, management experience and knowledge of the Maryland Public Mental Health System. At least five years of supervisory, management, and program development related experience in a clinical setting.
